TRACKS: How art can become a tool of communication and a way of making sense of life during war?
Bringing the voice of Ukraine during the war to the wider international community is exactly the goal set by the initiators of the TRACKS micro-festival, composer Sveinung Nygaard and co-founder of the Culture and Creativity Association Serhiy Zhukovsky. It is based on the idea of trains as a space for joint work and a meeting place. In June 2022, the premiere of the project took place in Gothenburg (Sweden). Its organizers talked about the main challenges of the project, and the direct participants shared their impressions.
A band from Zaporizhzhia and a singer from Berlin dedicated a joint music video to forced migrants
The famous Zaporizhia band "BarabanZA" released a music video with the German singer Petra Nachtmanova. More precisely, the Ukrainian-German tandem - "BarabanZA" and singer Petra Nakhtmanova will perform the Ukrainian folk dance song "Podolyanochka". The video was shot specifically for the international project called TRACKS , which is based on the idea of trains as a space for joint work and a meeting place.
